Our Executive Board
In accordance with the Charter Law, the Reading Edge Academy Executive Board has been established to assist the Principal in the school's decision-making process. Interested parents of students attending Reading Edge Academy are eligible to become appointed members of the board.
The Executive Board usually meets the third Thursday of each month and is open to the public. All minutes and monthly financial reports are available in the front office at any time for perusal.

I was born in southeast Volusia, and after 73 years of living here, have decided to make it my permanent residence. My educational background includes Faulkner St. Elementary, Live Oak St. School, and a few college credits, along with many rich life experiences. Professionally speaking, I am first and foremost a mother. My children are all adults, all very different individuals, and all nice people. I consider them my gift to the world. Beyond my family, my passion in life is small schools, which explains my love for Samsula Academy. Many of our Volusia schools are more than double the optimum size recommended by experts. That fact saddens me. In the words of the late Edward Kennedy, "We live on the future we build."

MY INSPIRATIONS: Helping children to grow, to reach their full potential, and to work with such friendly, amazing people who also share the same passions as me. Spending time with my family, and taking moments to relax, appreciate the simple things in life, and not forgetting the importance of laughter.
